The City of Florence Recreation Department, in association with the Florence Youth Basketball League, hosts a youth basketball program for kids in the Florence area. With over 400 youth participating, the league is one of the most popular activities offered in the city area.

Youth ages 5 to 17 years of age can participate. All ages are determined by their age as of September 1st of the registration year.

Your child's age group is whatever age they will be on September 1, 2025. 

Registration:

Registration for 7-17 age groups will open on November 1st and close on November 30th

Evaluations will take place at the Pearl Moore Basketball Center (500 Barnes St) on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 9th and 10th.

Tuesday, December 9th
Ages 7 & 8 - 6:00pm
Ages 11 & 12 - 7:30pm

Wednesday, December 10th
Ages 9 & 10 - 6:00pm
Ages 13 to 17 - 7:30pm
